"Faced with a decision regarding whether to take on a more challenging role, Jan’s coaching enabled me to understand and answer the important questions and make my decision with confidence.”

Senior Consultant ADAS

“Jan’s coaching emerged as the highest impact sessions I have ever had; they distinguished themselves through the clarity with which I was able to articulate my action plans and the results I was able to achieve.

At all times Jan created an atmosphere of trust and safety. Jan distinguished herself as a very skilled and empathetic coach, with the ability to allow the issues I wanted to tackle to develop at my own pace. This allowed me to address a number of long term and profound lifestyle and life challenges that I had hitherto ‘skirted’ around.”

Personal and Professional Life Coaching

Coaching, whether it’s personal life coaching, or coaching for your work gives you the opportunity to work one to one with an objective skilled person whose intention is to support your ability to identify and create the outcomes you want to achieve. In line with your values and what’s important to you, coaching helps you discover what you need to do or to change in order to achieve your goals

Working together – for you

Coaching is an active collaboration where the coach and you work together to create learning and self development for you. A coach does not have answers - you have those, and will not try to direct or advise you. Instead through a series of purposeful, focussed conversations, a coach will enable you to clarify what you want and help you discover the steps you need to take to achieve your goal.

Believing in solutions - not focusing on problems

Coaching is not about what’s wrong and trying to fix it. It is not counseling or therapy. The focus is firmly on goals and solutions – identifying where you are now, where you want to be and how you can you get there.

Support and challenge – the right balance

People perform at their best when they have the right mix of support and challenge. Coaching with its belief in the individual and commitment to the set goals is a way of providing that. Working with a coach will enable you move beyond where you could get to on your own or to get to where you want much more quickly.

Changing direction - doing things differently

Often we get can’t move because we get stuck in a rut of thinking and behaving in a set way. Coaching enables you to develop a greater awareness of you and your circumstances. This results in new perspectives and generates fresh approaches and ideas, leading to the ability to learn new ways of thinking and approaching situations, in order to get better results

Clear focus – Clear purpose

Real change takes time, commitment and focus. Coaching is effective because it provides a focussed approach, with a clear purpose. This enables you to have confidence in the answers you find and the ability to choose sustainable actions and behaviours which you know will work for you.

How does it work?

Coaching can be carried out face to face, or over the phone. Sessions usually last an hour, though this can be negotiated on an individual basis. Coaching content remains confidential. A coaching contract can be agreed for one session, or a number of sessions.
